When doctors told Jon Matthews he had cancer, he asked what his odds were of surviving another three years. And then he decided to put a £300 bet on it at the bookies. Despite originally being given just months to live, he has already won the first stage of his bet, which could see him net a total of £20,000.Jon will be giving some winnings to charity:
“As Jon has stated in the Mail Online article he plans to give some of his winnings to cancer charity Macmillan, as he did last year.”
Jon Matthews Said:
'I smoke 30 cigarettes a day, enjoy a pint and like the occasional flutter, especially when I'm winning.'
'All the mainstream doctors could prescribe for me was morphine but this healer put me on a course of herbal medicines that have not only changed but prolonged my life,' he said.
